There must be something wrong going on in your life when you don't smile at the cocktail menu that has drinks called "Slap n' pickle" and "Dill or no dill". The website suggests the cocktail menu in the Blind Pig and Social Eating House are the same but I'm pretty sure Social Eating House had much more sophisticated fare. For example look how grown up my drink is when I order one during dinner compared to the fun fair frolics of the ones above.
You so pretty
Food at Social Eating House was very good. Unfortunately I was a little full from brunch at the duck and waffle that day to entertain the idea of the 7 course sample menu. However I think I ended up making the right choice from the a la carte menu.
You can't judge me for ordering a macaroni & cheese when there is an option to order macaroni & cheese. Needless to say best macaroni & cheese ever (don't think I've ever written macaroni & cheese so many times in one paragraph in my life)
Personally I prefer the vibe of the Blind Pig to Social Eating House...only because Social Eating House is far too classy for me and I was slightly conscious about the fact that we were totally surrounded by couples which always freaks me out because it's just far. too. grown. up. When I go again, I want that booth in the corner at the Blind Pig and to work my way through their cocktail menu, then try and come up with cocktail puns and then solemnly conclude that I shouldn't give up my day job anytime soon.
