Cocktails at Browns Brighton

I find myself getting quite pissed off with men at the moment.  They're self centred, childish and think they can get their own way.  Basically a male version of me which is why a relationship with me is doomed to failure.  Perhaps I should consider becoming a lesbian.  Then perhaps I could have been involved with the Pride parade at Brighton at the weekend.  I did see a girl who I thought was very pretty.  Maybe the potential is there.

However, me and my straight friends wanted to chill out with a quick drink before lunch.  Pre lunch cocktails, how positively decadent.  Especially because we went to Browns (Duke Street, BN1 1AH http://www.browns-restaurants.co.uk/drinks/).  I haven't been to a Browns since I was at uni and liked to pretend I was a grown up by going to the Nottingham branch.

The Brighton branch is just as lovely and solid and classic.  If I was there in the evening and not during the day like some alcoholic, I feel like I should be wearing a silk cocktail dress or something.  It looks like it's been around for years and seen all sorts of things in its life.  That particular day, there was a man dressed as a cowgirl and another as a sailor...so yes all sorts of things.

I had an apple and lychee martini.  I'm considering changing the name of this blog to the lychee martini appreciation club.  If it ain't broke, then keep drinking it I say.  It was made with Hendrick's gin hence the cucumber and was so good.  I'm running out of different ways to describe how much I like lychee martinis.

P.S.  I've had a think about the lesbian thing and decide that despite their stupid ways, I do like the look of men....especially when they look like this.
