Loungelover Cocktail Bar Review

Loungelover Cocktail Bar Review

I work a standard 9-to-5 job.  I mean that in a metaphorical sense of course as I rarely actually only work 9 to 5.  My desk is that standard issue pine colour.  My computer is black.  I have a swivvle office chair.  It's all very nondescript.  That's why it's nice to have a break from the nondescript and go to Loungelover.

Everyone is so happy in the sunshine but look how cute and happy my friends are when they met up...totally got in the way of my shot though.

I'm pretty sure if I threw a stone hard from Shoreditch station, it may make it close to Loungelover which makes it pretty easy to get to.  On the outside it looks quite small but then you walk in and it just keeps on going.  Everywhere you look there is some madness going on which is why this venue was especially wonderful.  When I was there, I clocked a dolls house, a display cabinet in homage to Lulu Guinness bags and a rhino's head which gives the Zetter Townhouse a run for its money for weirdness.

Why sit in the main area when you can sit in a cage that has a giant swan statue on the table of course.

But first let me take a selfie

This sight makes me most happy

It was happy hour so needless to say there was a lot of stocking up.

Casanova has vodka, amaretto & fig balsamic vinegar amongst other things which made it an intriguing medley.  Not as weird tasting as you might expect it to.

The Thunder Lover also sounded intriguing because of the toffee vodka and ginger but to be honest it was something of nothing.

This Japanese Rocking Horse (awesome name right?) contains sake and lychee amongst other things.  So delicious and enjoyable.  My favourite of the night.

Love Letter has raspberry vodka and elderflower...er, YUM!

Loungelover is a fabulous venue.  It actually needs the word fabulous.  A quirky place with kooky things at every corner.  It's spacious but intimate and there's an extremely extensive selection of cocktails that even though I have been to Loungelover since this original outing, I've not even begun to make a dent in list.  They don't serve proper meal food but you can get nibbles; I highly recommend the sweet potato fries.  Those and the cocktails are anything but nondescript.
