Cocktails at the Kensington Roof Gardens

Cocktails at the Kensington Roof Gardens
There is a hilarious episode of the Simpsons when Homer buys Marge a bowling ball for her birthday which was transparently purchased for him to enjoy.  I unashamedly do the same thing but instead of a bowling ball it was a masquerade ball as I bought tickets for my friend and I to go to a party at the Kensington roof gardens.

The party was organised by the late night cocktail club - how have I not heard of these guys before? - at the insanely beautiful Roof Gardens. Gin, a dress code and a beautiful venue.  That makes me ridiculously happy.  What didn't make me ridiculously happy is the fact that I don't wear high heels nearly as much as I used to which meant every gradient, steep step or cobble was looked at with a weary eye as I negotiated the beautiful gardens with my higher than high heels.

Indeed we do.

Blue lighting makes it look like I'm drinking on a space ship

The rumour about Rumour is that it's a sweet hit of raspberry and gin.  However the rhubarb was a bit of a tease and a non-show.  Although my experience of rhubarb is usually restricted to the crumble and custard variety so who knows what it tastes like really.

OK, so I may have ordered the pink flamingo because it may have contained the word pink and it may contain lychee...and watermelon...and strawberries...and oh yeah, vodka.  This drink I loved, it was such a happy drink.

The masquerade party was great fun.  Beautiful venue, yummy cocktails, great music and a man whose saxophone lit up.  What more could a gal want.  Now currently recruiting for a partner in crime to come with me to the mad hatter party they're throwing next month.
